The Downshire Arms Hotel stocks a good range of single malts, plus a good wine cellar and possibly the largest selection of lagers in the village. Our public bar has a pool table, darts, big screen sports, log fire, state-of-the-art sound system, a good craic, and is very popular with the locals, especially at weekends and during televised matches on the big screen. The function suite makes a great venue for wedding receptions, family gatherings, office parties, 21st birthdays....please see relevant page on this website. Equipped with the latest sound & light technology, our hotel is the ideal venue for your celebration! Thursday night is 'Open The Box!' night - a fun way to win some cash. Recent winners have walked away with several hundred pounds - one winner with in excess of £1,200.00! Open to everyone, this fun-filled evening is proving a winner in every sense! Whilst waiting for your chance to 'Open The Box!' why not sample some of our great beers, malts, wines and food? Our pool table (and team) are always ready for a game or three, and our in-house sound system is state of the art - touch screen jukeboxes, wide choice of sounds, big screen tv, roaring log fire (in season!) and a great time. Please note: Football colours or team attire are not allowed in any of our bars. Children under sixteen are welcome, but only if accompanied by a responsible adult. We would expect children to be out of the bar areas by nine o'clock please. We reserve the right to refuse admission and or service to anyone who is, in our judgement, under the age of 18, seriously drunk, offensive or under a banning order. We have three bars at the Downshire Arms Hotel. We have a
cocktail bar, the lounge bar and our (very) lively public bar. Food is
available in all of the bars at the Downshire Arms Hotel from Monday to Friday (1200 - 1430 & 1800 -
2100) and all day Saturday and Sunday.
(Bar Meals to Al A Carté, and Tapas food a speciality in the Lounge bar.).
Most weekends we have live music, disco or karaoke in our
function suite at the Downshire Arms Hotel, Portpatrick. If we are hosting
a wedding reception or large party the restaurant and function suite may
be closed to the public.
